A New Name

Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give some of the hidden manna. I will also give that person a whitestone with a new name written on it, known only to the one who receives it.

  1. For our son's wedding last weekend, they painted their names and the wedding date on small rocks that were beside each plate. A personal touch, a token to take home to remember them. It sits on my desk now, a reminder of them, and of our names written in heaven, with His. This photo makes me think of a long walk along the shore, collecting stones and shells. Pleasant, refreshing.

  6. If I remember right, at one time a white stone was passed to someone being judged denoting that they had been found innocent.

  7. A new name, reminds me of the book 'hinds feet on high places' where names are changed as new 'lessons are learned.'
